All students are required to obtain and visibly wear their official RVU Student Identification (ID) Badge while on campus. The ID badge serves multiple purposes, including identification, verification of student status, and access to University buildings and services.
For safety and security reasons, students are required to use their ID badge to access campus facilities and badge into buildings as applicable. This process allows the University to monitor and manage building occupancy, maintain secure access to facilities, and support emergency response efforts by identifying who is present on campus at any given time.
Student ID badges may be obtained at the Security Office.
ID badges are issued for individual use only. Use of a badge by anyone other than the assigned cardholder is strictly prohibited. Students are responsible for safeguarding their badge and must report lost or stolen badges to the Campus Safety and Security Department immediately. Students are accountable for any misuse, loss, or associated damages. All ID badges remain the property of Rocky Vista University and must be returned upon request.
To support a safe campus environment, all students are expected to wear their RVU ID Badge at all times while inside RVU buildings.
Current students are eligible for one (1) replacement ID badge at no cost. Additional replacements may be subject to a $10 fee per badge.
