No student will obtain less than an 80.0% or “Pass” in any course during the program. Failure to do so will result in the inability to matriculate. A student is allowed to remediate one course for the entirety of the DNAP program.

Remediation may include but is not limited to:

  • Retaking an exam
  • Retaking portions of an exam
  • Oral boards with a panel

Failure to obtain an 80% in a course (including failure to obtain an 80% after remediation) will result in withdrawal from the DNAP program. If a student fails to matriculate, readmission into the following year will not be considered at this time.

The Program Director will make and be held accountable for all final decisions resulting from student remediation and/or probation. Any remediation decision must include specific objectives and a time frame as designated by the Program Director and Course Instructor.

A student who chooses to appeal a dismissal must do so in writing to the Provost within five (5) business days of the date of dismissal. While appealing a dismissal, a student may continue to attend classes and take all examinations pending the results of the appeal.

Any student dismissed from the DNAP program due to academic or clinical reasons will not be considered for readmission in any following year.
