Students who score less than 82% on any exam may be flagged as a struggling student and at risk for internal academic probation. If a student is at or below an 80% cumulative course grade or who have received an 80% or below on two or more exams in one term they will be require to meet with both the Course Director(s) and the student’s designated academic advisor for individualized study plan in addition to being placed on internal academic probation. If criterion are met for internal academic probationary status, students will be required to sign a Statement of Understanding which will be kept in their student academic file. If a student is placed under internal academic probation during Phase II the student will complete necessary requirements electronically. Students who fail to report their status may be required to complete additional counseling with the Assistant Program Director or Program Director.
Internal academic probation status may impact a student's ability to participate in extracurricular activities.
* Note that the University may have a different definition of “academic probation or warning.” Refer to the Student Handbook and Catalog for more information on academic probation.
